Capitol Records
In Los Angeles the name Capitol Records is instantly equated with the iconic Capitol Records Tower, which was the world’s first circular office building and home to several of the company’s recording studios. Capitol Records was founded in 1942 and is considered to be the first west coast label. It is now owned by EMI, but was once the distributor for some of the biggest names in music including The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys, and many others.
