Bob’s Big Boy
You’ve probably seen this restaurant’s Big Boy mascot before. Maybe as a rocket ship carrying Dr. Evil in an Austin Powers movie? Either way, the Big Boy actually represents a chain of restaurants, the oldest of which is located in Burbank, California. Filmmaker David Lynch of Twin Peaks fame ate lunch at this Bob’s everyday for 7 years and claimed the combination of sugar and caffeine from his chocolate milk shakes and coffee gave him ideas for many of his films. Explains some things, doesn’t it?
