Griffith Observatory

Even if you’ve never been to Los Angeles there’s a good chance you’ve seen its golden dome before. The landmark has been a featured location in some major movies and television shows including Rebel Without a Cause, The Terminator, GoldenEye, The Simpsons, and many others. The observatory sits on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park and features a planetarium, a solar telescope and many other astronomy based exhibits.
