The Associate of Science in Game Development program takes students through the process of creating a video game from the initial stages of game structure and preproduction, to advanced coding, artificial intelligence, and game engine creation. The program is modeled after real game industry procedures, and the final project is a complete playable video game.
Students in the Associate of Science in Computer Animation program learn the animation pipeline used throughout the industry to create art for games, special effects for television and movies, and animated feature films. The program starts by teaching students the principles of traditional animation and character design, before progressing to more advanced computer animation techniques. Students use advanced modeling software to create virtual models, characters, and visual effects for a variety of multimedia applications, and collect their best work into an industry-ready portfolio at the conclusion of the program.
All of The Los Angeles Film School’s degree programs provide students with comprehensive training in an accelerated educational environment. Each program is carefully designed to mirror industry workflow while placing students in contact with industry-standard gear and experienced instructors.
“We are extremely proud of how our curriculum and campus have evolved in recent years,” said Darren Millar, Chief Operating Officer. “These degree programs are a tremendous step forward for our school, our students, and our graduates.”
The new degrees will join The Los Angeles Film School’s existing Associate of Science Degree in Film, recently introduced as the next step in the evolution of the school’s filmmaking curriculum. More detailed information regarding the curriculum will be available soon – please call the Admissions Office at 877.952.3456 to request an information packet.
