Panavision Cinematography Lab
Cinematography in its most basic form is the control of lighting and camera placement while shooting a film or video. It is both an art form and a science. Cinematography is without a doubt one of the most important elements involved in filmmaking and this is one of the most important labs that students will work in.
Dedicated to one of the biggest names in the movie business, the Panavision Cinematography Lab is a small soundstage with a self-leveled concrete floor. Blackout curtains enclose the interior of the room, and a full lighting grid hangs from the ceiling, allowing for easy light placement and manipulation. Students use this lab to practice and explore lighting and camera techniques.
